Key Staff

Louisiana Clinical Research’s clinical staff is comprised of Principal/Sub-Investigators , Clinical Research Coordinators , Research Assistants, Psychometric Raters, Registered Nurses, Regulatory Staff, Mental Health Technicians, Social Workers, and other research professionals.

Our medical team has over 10 years experience in conducting various psychiatric and medical research studies. Physicians on the Louisiana Clinical Staff specialize in the following: General Psychiatry, Neurology, Addictionology, Internal Medicine, Pediatric Psychiatry, Geriatric Psychiatry, and Sleep Disorders.

Brian K. Wooten, M.A.
- President/CEO

Mr. Wooten brings many years of business development and clinical experience from a variety of mental health service fields. Mr. Wooten was the Vice President of Business Development with Affiliated Research Institute, where he created a professional research network throughout California. More recently, Mr. Wooten was the Vice President of the Northern Division of HealthQuest Clinical Trials, the largest CNS clinical research site in the western United States. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Louisiana State University in Shreveport and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California.

   

Guy E. Brannon, M.D.
– Principal Investigator

Dr. Brannon is a graduate of Louisiana State University School of Medicine where he completed his residency in psychiatry and acted as chief resident in his final year of the program. He became involved in clinical trials during his residency at LSU and has over 10 years experience in Psychiatric/CNS trials. Dr. Brannon also serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at LSU Health Sciences Center as well as Medical Director of the Inpatient Adult Psychiatric Unit at Brentwood Hospital.

   
   

J. Gary Booker, M.D.
– Investigator

Dr. J .Gary Booker graduated from Lousiana State University School of Medicine in 1984. He is a Board Certified Psychiatrist specializing in Alzheimer's Deisease, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, and Major Depression. He has been involved in over 100 clinical drug trials since 1993 and has been in private practice since 1997. Currenty, Dr. Booker has a busy private practice and serves as the Medical Director of Adult Psychiatry at Promise Specialty Hospital.
