Key Staff

Brentwood Research Institute’s clinical staff is comprised of Principal/Sub-Investigators , Clinical Research Coordinators , Research Assistants, Psychometric Raters, Registered Nurses, Regulatory Staff, Mental Health Technicians, Social Workers, and an Executive Director.

Our medical team has over 10 years experience in conducting various psychiatric and medical research studies. Physicians on the Brentwood Staff specialize in the following: General Psychiatry, Neurology, Addictionology, Internal Medicine, Pediatric Psychiatry, Geriatric Psychiatry, and Sleep Disorders.

Guy E. Brannon, M.D.
– Principal Investigator /Director of Adult Psychiatric Unit

Dr. Brannon is a graduate of Louisiana State University School of Medicine where he completed his residency in psychiatry and acted as chief resident in his final year of the program. He became involved in clinical trials during his residency at LSU and has over 6 years experience in Psychiatric/CNS trials. Dr. Brannon also serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at LSU Health Sciences Center.

   

Brian K. Wooten, M.A.
- Executive Director

Mr. Wooten brings many years of business development and clinical experience from a variety of mental health service fields. Mr. Wooten was the Vice President of Business Development with Affiliated Research Institute, where he created a professional research network throughout California. More recently, Mr. Wooten was the Vice President of the Northern Division of HealthQuest Clinical Trials, the largest CNS clinical research site in the western United States. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Louisiana State University in Shreveport and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California.

   

Kimberly S. Carroll, M.A.
– Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC)

Ms. Carroll has over 6 years of experience in health care and clinical trials. She worked as a case manager/counselor for Community Support Programs in Shreveport before her work in clinical trials. Prior to working at BRI she was employed as a Clinical Research Coordinator with LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport where she was responsible for coordinating numerous CNS trials . She received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Louisiana State University in Shreveport and a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Louisiana Tech University.
